The Vision:
The Dubai International Holy Quran Award endeavors to make its program of serving the Quranic Studies a leading and outstanding one at the level of the Islamic world.

Objectives and Activities of the Program:

1·    To hold or sponsor exhibitions related to the Holy Quran and its studies and to organize or participate in introductory programs about the Holy Quran.

2·    To collaborate with centers that cater for the Quranic studies.

3·    To hold forums, seminars and conferences related to the Holy Quran and to organize or sponsor contests that spread the Quranic culture.

4·    To encourage the outstanding works in the field of the Holy Quran studies and to work on printing and publishing materials related to the Holy Quran studies.

Fields of work in the Quranic Studies Program:

1.   The Studies and Programs Committee at the Award supervises the Quranic Studies Program and makes the plans and programs that achieve its objectives. The Committee implements the programs according to the discretion of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.

2.   The program attracts scholars, specialists and researchers in the field of Quranic studies through evaluating the participating works and choosing what is appropriate for printing and publishing in addition to allocating an appropriate financial reward to the writer.

3.   The works participating in the Program are subject to study by a specialized consultant and judging panel to decide the extent of its validity for printing and publishing.

4.   The Program compiles a database of the researchers, centers and establishments working in the field of the Holy Quran and its studies.

5.   The Program distributes its various publications of books, researches and studies free of charge or at nominal price to ensure a wide readership of these works.

The Activities of the Quranic Studies Program:

In its first activity to enrich the work of this Program, the Award’s Organizing Committee has organized the Scientific Miraculous Nature of the Holy Quran Conference in collaboration with the International Board of the Scientific Miraculous Nature of the Holy Quran and Sunna affiliated to the Islamic World League based in Makkah Al Mukarama. The Award assumed the administrative and organizational affairs while the International Board of Scientific Miraculous Nature handled the scholarly and technical matters.

Indeed, the Dubai International Holy Quran Award has made a breakthrough in its quest for excellence by organizing the conference that was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The conference was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Adul Mohsin Al Turki, the Secretary General of the Islamic League and a number of UAE officials.

More than “150� researchers, medical doctors and academics from the various parts of the Islamic world participated in the conference’s twelve sessions. The fifty researches submitted at the conference covered medical science and its applied researches and anatomy and organs function. In addition, the researches covered earth sciences, astrology, plants and animal sciences and biology and its branches.

At the closing session of the conference, a final statement was read out in which the following recommendations were made:

1·     A call to all scientists and researchers on the scientific miraculous nature of the Holy Quran and Sunna to adopt and depend on correct and clear evidence and established scientific cases.

2·     A call to all those who work in the media to give more care and coverage of the subject of scientific miraculous nature of the Holy Quran and Sunna.

3·     A call to the utilization of researches on the scientific nature of the Holy Quran and Sunna in the call for believing in Allah and have them translated into foreign languages and the use of modern technologies for researching more discoveries in the light of the Holy Quran and Sunna.

4·     A call to have the scientific miraculous nature of the Holy Quran and Sunna taught at universities and included in the educational curricula and for the issuance of any encyclopedia of the secientific miraculous nature of the Holy Quran and Sunna in the English and French languages.

The happy surprise at the closing day of the conference was that a Finish researcher announced her embracement of Islam before the audience.

The Quranic Studies Program has published the conference’s researches in a 3-volume book that was distributed to researchers, participants and concerned scholarly institutions within and outside the UAE. The publication still receives wide acclaim for its great importance in the field of Quranic studies related to the scientific miraculous nature of the Holy Quran. Thus, Iqra satellite channel in collaboration with the Award’s Media Committee produced 20 TV serials that covered all the conference sessions and main activities.
