The idea of establishing a local contest had occupied the mind of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai., Patron of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award for many years until the dream became true. His Highness is keen to motivate and encourage UAE nationals as well as expatriates of both sexes to memorize and preserve the Holy Book. Eventually, the Organizing Committee issued its decision for the establishment of an independent committee to be called the Holy Quran Local Committee. We humbly pray to Allah and ask Him to give His blessings to the Committee in running the Contest affairs in the best way and according to the objective for which the Contest was created. Now, all UAE memorization centers are grouped for the first time under one umbrella, competing through their respective candidates with each other to achieve the first position
