Establishment of the Complex and Its Inauguration …
1. King Fahd Bin Abdel Aziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Shrines, laid the cornerstone of the Complex in 1403 A.H., inaugurated it in 1405 A.H.
2. The average annual production of the Complex is 10 million copies, the distribution is the same. It has produced more than 90 editions and 165 million copies, and has so far distributed more than 142 million copies to Muslims all over world continents.
3. The Complex has published 55 different translations of the Holy Qur’an in 39 languages.
4. It always makes continuous studies and researches for the service of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah.
5. The Complex has the most advanced printing technologies in the world.
6. the Complex offers each pilgrim a copy of the Mushaf on his way back home after completing Hajj rituals.

1. The area of the Complex is about 250,000 square meters.
2. The Complex is considered as an integrated residential area as it includes a mosque, buildings for administration, maintenance, press, warehouses, transport, marketing, lodging, entertainment, dispensary, library, restaurants and others.
3. The Islamic architectural design of the Complex was awarded the prize of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah in Rajab 1416 A.H. (December 1995 CE).

King Fahd Complex is distinguished for its control system which is not found in any other institution in the world; it includes text control, quality control and a final control.
The Complex Production Capacity …
The production capacity of the Complex reached more than ten million copies of different publications a year for every single shift. It is possible, if needed, to make it work three shifts to produce 30 million copies a year. The number of publications produced by the Complex so far has exceeded ninety different publications, including complete Mushafs and parts, translations, recordings, books of Sunnah and of the Prophet’s Biography and others. The Complex has three manuscripts of the Holy Qur’an of its own. Two, according to the narration of Hafs after Asim, and one, according to the narration of Warsh after Nafi‘, and all are written by the calligrapher of the Complex and revised by the Scholarly Committee for Revising the Mushaf of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah.
